Platon Teaching Schools Inc. was founded by Athanasios Karaviotis in 1973. It was first established in Clifton Hill to cater for the large Greek community in the surrounding inner city suburbs.
In 1975 Platon Teaching Schools Inc. was established in Reservoir, Lalor and Thomastown. In 1989 the school expanded to Mill Park to service the growing needs of the Greek community. Currently, all above mentioned suburbs are served by the establishment at St. Stephens Primary School in Reservoir.
Platon Teaching Schools Inc. believes and supports language learning in Australia and conforms to the idea of a multicultural society. The school encourages all students to strive for excellence in a supportive and safe environment, where each student is treated equally and assisted to attain their full potential.
